Do You Read Liturature on DA?

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 3, 2012, 12:36 PM

I've always thought about uploading things that I have written onto DA, but it never feels like people want to take the time to read.  People want to look at images to satisfy the quick fix and get immediate satisfaction, it seems.

Not only that but I guess reading can be far more time consuming, and if someone isn't a good writer I guess it would be hard to get through.

I don't know, just thoughts.

Share yours.

Reading takes more time than looking at pictures. Plus, since this site is mainly aimed at visual art, writers might have a hard time making themselves known.

But I still keep uploading stories

haha If anything, at least you are doing it for yourself, right? :)

I have read some in the past, but the quantity of things here make it hard to get through to the good quality items. It can be daunting to say the least.
And yes reading does take more time then just browsing pictures.

That is true. You have to sift through a lot of dirt before you find the gems.

Sorry for the corny quote. haha

Depends on the subject manner, honestly. I read it and comment, but the topics/writer matter to me.
So yes if you wrote and it was a subject that didn't hit my triggers, I'd read it :D

Good to know. :)

What kinds of things do you like to read?

Fantasy, Sci Fi, Poetry. I'll occasionally peruse fiction in general as long as its relatively short. A lot of the issue comes from me and reading on screen. I prefer time to read and think on something when I comment which deviantart isn't really set up to do.
